We offer Alodine and Iridite on aluminum. Both are used a primer coating before paint. Alodine is a clear conversion and the parts look very close to the same as they did before the conversion. Iridite, however, is a yellow/ gold color when it is finished. We do both to MIL-DTL-5541 or equivalent.

What's the differance?

Alodine is a ROHS (The European Union's Restrictions On Hazardous Substances) compliant passivation coating whereas Iridite contains hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) which makes it non-compliant with ROHS. Please let us know if you require a Certificate of Compliance.
